The deburring machines by Conquest Industries are used primarily for deburring, de-rusting, blending and polishing various kinds of components Deburring machines are an essential part of the surface treatment process. Other uses include metal, non-ferrous metal and nonmetals. The machine is designed to use magnetically activated stainless steel pin media in a soapy deburring solution to remove burrs without harming the part.
Deburring equipment and burr removal machines use a variety of processes and tools. Examples include abrasive flow machining (AFM), electrolytic or electrochemical deburring, etching or chemical deburring, hydro-deburring or high pressure water blasting, sandblasting or abrasive blasting, thermal deburring or thermal energy machining (TEM), and wire or abrasive brush deburring.
The machine is designed to use magnetically activated stainless steel pin media in a soapy deburring solution to remove burrs without harming the part. The company says it can deburr internal cavities, slots, holes and blind holes without the media becoming trapped, and that parts are automatically demagnetized at the end of the deburring cycle.
Brush deburring machine
A brush deburring machine uses a wire brush that rotates at high speed to work the end of the tube gently or aggressively. The quality of the resulting tube end depends on several factors, including machine setup, brush type, and tube characteristics. The most commonly used brush is made of carbon steel wire, although stainless steel, coated carbon steel, and nylon are used for some applications.
Some wires are available in crimped- or twisted-knot styles. The twisted-knot style brush performs very aggressive deburring.
Deburring Machine Speed: A rule of thumb for quality deburring is that the part should complete at least two revolutions in the brush. This can be calculated by multiplying the tube circumference by 2.
The speed at which the part is transferred through the brush and the rotation speed of the tube affect end finish quality. End finish quality is enhanced with slower part transfer speed and higher tube rotation speed.
