The ball machine is an incredibly rugged and durable training tool that will have your players begging for more. When you train with the Pro Trainer, players get the chance to succeed over and over again. When that happens players see development occur right before their eyes. We have players who literally beg us to use the Pro Trainer at training sessions because they love getting the chance to work on their first touch in a way that no other drills do.
Tennis ball machines are a must have for any up and coming tennis player. Tennis Express offers the most extensive selection of both A/C and Battery powered tennis ball machines
All quality tennis ball machines presently available on the market use wheels to throw the ball. Normally there are two wheels that turn in opposite direction (thus the label counter rotating wheels) and have a small space between them. The ball rolls down a chute and are squeezed by the counter rotating wheels, which then eject it. The situation is not all that different from gravel being thrown from under a spinning tire, though in the case of the tire only one wheel is responsible for the throwing.
Two types of testing machine are commonly used for evaluating the fatigue characteristics of balls and rollers. One, in which the upper ball, held in a driven chuck, causes three lower balls to rotate in a race, is often referred to as a four-ball machine. The other type consists of a roller or disc loaded between two rollers or cylinders of larger diameter, one of which is driven by an electric motor. A device, sensitive to vibration, is attached to both types of machine, which stops the machine automatically when pitching occurred.
Remote unit starts and stops the ball throws, and also starts and stops the oscillator to position ball throws anywhere across the court.
The main feature of the ball machine is measure of a portable machine is its actual portability. The Ball Machine is lighter and more compact than any ball machine with similar features. Plus, it includes a built in handle and towing wheels to enhance portability.
Ball Machine also features:
Trajectory Control: Variable from groundstroke to lob so you can practice all the shots, including overheads.
Speed Control: Adjustable from 10 MPH to 70 MPH. The slowest speeds are useful for younger players. The highest speeds are equivalent to professional-level passing shots.
Interval Control: Sets the time between balls throws from one ball every 1.5 seconds for rapid volleys, to one ball every ten seconds.
Spin Control: Adjustable for flat shots, or for varying degrees of topspin or backspin.
Built in Oscillator: Delivers balls either in one position, or randomly across the court so you can practice hitting on the run.
Battery Life: Three to four hours per charge. Enough for a serious workout.
Remote Control: A keychain sized remote unit starts and stops the ball throws, and also starts and stops the oscillator to position ball throws anywhere across the court.
Ball Capacity: 110 balls. Comparable to the capacity of the largest portable ball baskets.
All-in One Control Panel: All functions are controlled by a single electronic control panel. In addition to the control functions it includes a battery charge indicator, and an automatic time delay so you can walk to your playing position after start up.
